Beschreibung

A high-precision analysis of the structure of highly-charged ions is generally a rather complicated task. It requires accounting for various effects such as, for example, electron correlations, relativistic and nuclear phenomena, as well as quantum electrodynamics (QED) corrections. Of course, while the detailed discussion of these effects can be the topic for an entire lecture course, in this presentation we will review general ideas and basic methods for the theoretical study of few-electron ions.
