In my talk I will cover the ultra-fast X-Ray generation with LWFA electrons – the MPQ experiences. In addition to the published work the emphasis will be made on the electron injection, in particular the so-called colliding-pulse injection – the effects we observed during the Thomson campaign. Finally the outlook about CALA – Center for Advanced Laser Applications – currently being established in Garching, its current status, aims and ambitions will be presented.
