Silvio Fuchs won the STIFT-Award for excellent application based thesis. With this award, Master, Diploma, and PHD thesis of all thuringian universities are honored by the foundation of technology, innovation and research Thuringia (STIFT) each year.
Silvio Fuchs received the prize on November 13 in Jena for his diploma thesis "Kohärenztomografie mit kurzen Wellenlängen" (Short wavelength coherence tomography) in which he could improve the resolution of the common optical coherent tomography in the infrared regime up to three orders of magnitude by using XUV radiation.
