Public Lecture by Prof. Gerhard G. Paulus on the Nobel Prize in Physics 2023

Within the series of public Saturday lectures at the Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Professor Gerhard G. Paulus on November 5, 2023, reported on the physical background of this year's Nobel Prize in Physics, the development of which he witnessed directly as a doctoral student and postdoc and to which he contributed decisively. The Nobel Prize in Physics 2023 was awarded to Pierre Agostini, Ferenc Krausz and Anne L’Huillier “for experimental methods that generate attosecond pulses of light for the study of electron dynamics in matter.”

The lecture was recorded, can be re-watched here. It is in German, however, you may switch on English subtitles.
